What is SAP BW?

SAP Business Warehouse is SAP’s strategic and efficient Enterprise Data Warehouse solution running on industry standard RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) and SAP’s HANA in-built memory DBMS (Database Management Systems). It delivers:

In addition to the significantly faster performance, SAP BW on HANA also makes data retention processes more efficient. The memory size of the database is reduced because of the column-based data storage technology of SAP HANA, and the powerful compression methods that are used.
